But on Tuesday's episode of Today, Al Roker says the judgement needs to stop.
The weatherman, who went through his own very public weight loss journey, addressed the topic:
“There’s too much judgment going on."
“People, as long as they’re working with their doctors and being healthy about it, people ought to just back off and let them live their lives."
Roker added that he knows from his experience that it's “not easy."
“Listen, I took a raft of stuff when I had bypass surgery."
"It’s not easy, whatever you do, so get off people’s backs."

Many noted that Clarkson is following the advice of a medical professional and taking the medication responsibly.
Others commented that, frankly, it's really no one else's business, anyway.
But some wondered why Clarkson denied taking anything in the first place.
Back in January, Clarkson said her move to New York City was the main factor that resulted in her weight loss, telling People:
“Walking in the city is quite the workout."
She added:
“And I’m really into infrared saunas right now."
"And I just got a cold plunge because everybody wore me down.”
What really matters, though, is that she's healthy and happy!
