This Joke About Lori Loughlin Rejecting Her Plea Deal After Thinking The DA Was Bluffing Is Just So Groan-Worthy And Brilliant

On April 9, Felicity Huffman pled guilty to her role in the Operation Varsity Blues college admissions scandal, likely guaranteeing at least some jail time for the actress.

The next day, on April 10, news broke that Lori Loughlin was being offered a plea deal by prosecutors that would include at least two years in jail.

Reportedly, Loughlin believed the DA was bluffing in the meeting. A source close to Loughlin says Lori "has been in complete denial and thought maybe she could skate by."

Because of this, she "refused to accept any jail time and thought the DA was bluffing. She was adamant she wouldn't do any jail time."

Well, it turns out the DA was NOT bluffing. As a result of Loughlin rejecting their plea deal, the DA filed an additional money laundering charge against her.

According to a report which quoted a source familiar with Loughlin's side of the story, Loughlin is beating herself up for not accepting the initial deal.

"Lori is finally realizing just how serious this is,. he is seeing the light that she will do jail time and is freaking out."

Though the situation looks dire for Loughlin, something magical was happening over on Twitter.

When news of her plea refusal broke, it spawned a pretty epic joke:

Twitter laughed for what felt like a full year.

Everyone offered @WhitneyM02 some major props for the burn.

Others tried to replicate Whitney's process...with little success.

If only one thing survives from the college admissions scandal story, we all hope it's this joke.

People online were glad Loughlin was seeing the consequences of her actions instead of skating by as she hoped she would.

Most people online thought that Loughlin should have taken the plea deal when she had the chance.

Sadly her chance is gone now and she'll have to contend with money laundering charges as well.

Lori, the next time the DA says they have something on you, LISTEN.

Tim Walz Promises To Stop Mocking Musk Over Tesla's Decline—But Only On One Condition

After billionaire Elon Musk called Minnesota Governor and former vice presidential candidate Tim Walz a "huge jerk" for openly celebrating Tesla's stock market tumble, Walz assured Musk he'd stop—but only if Musk takes his hands off Social Security benefits for millions of Americans.

Late last month, as news outlets reported that Tesla shares have plunged over 40% since January, wiping out the entire “Trump bump” that had temporarily driven the stock up more than 90% following Election Day, Walz said he added Tesla to the stock app on his phone to add a pick-me-up to his day.
