Ye Just Bought Property Directly Across The Street From Ex Kim Kardashian—And Fans Are Cringing

We've heard about keeping your friends close and your enemies closer, but this is ridiculous.

Amidst their ongoing divorce, rapper Ye—pronounced yay, not yee—just bought the house across the street from his soon-to-be ex-wife, Kim Kardashian West.

The move comes on the heels of the volatile musician's public plea last month he and Kardashian West reunite, as well as Kardashian West's new relationship with SNL actor Pete Davidson.

Suffice to say, the word "awkward" comes to mind and fans of both Ye and Kardashian West are feeling the cringe.

Ye reportedly dropped $4.5 million for the Hidden Hills, California spread.

According to a source who spoke to People magazine, it's all about keeping Kardashian West and the couple's four children close.

As the source put it:

“He only bought it for the location. It’s near Kim and the kids."

That's a normal inclination for any divorced parent, but Ye's recent public comments indicate there's more to the story. The new house also seems to be a gambit to get back together with Kardashian West.

During an appearance at homeless charity The Los Angeles Mission last month, Ye spoke at length about his intentions to "restore" his family, during which he defiantly referred to Kardashian West as his "wife" and claimed God wants to use his and Kardashian West's reunion as an example for other families.

"When God, who has already wanted his soul, brings Kimye together, there's gonna be millions of families that are going to be influenced and see that they can overcome, could work as a separation of trauma."

Okay then, but does Kim know?

For her part, Kardashian West doesn't seem to be on that page—a source in her camp recently told E! News there is "no chance for reconciliation" as far as she's concerned. And then of course there's her new relationship with Davidson—not exactly fertile ground for a reunion with her soon-to-be ex-husband.

Taken all together, this story had Twitter cringing and cringing hard.

And of course, there was a tidal wave of jokes about this all just being a way for Ye to keep tabs on Davidson.

After being spotted together several times over the Christmas holiday in both New York and Los Angeles, it doesn't seem like Davidson and Kardashian West will be splitting any time soon.

Ye might want to think twice before coming over to the neighbors' house to borrow a cup of sugar.

White House Slammed After Replacing Obama Portrait With Painting Of Trump's Assassination Attempt

The White House is facing heavy criticism after it posted a video on X showing off a new painting of President Donald Trump's assassination attempt last summer—that is now hanging where an official portrait of former President Barack Obama was once displayed.

The portrait of Obama, unveiled in 2022 during former President Joe Biden’s administration, remains on display in the White House but has been relocated. Originally hung near the staircase to the presidential residence on the State Floor, it has been moved to the opposite wall—where a portrait of former President George W. Bush once hung.
