Hugh Jackman And Ryan Reynolds Used X-Men Day To Reflect On Their Iconic Roles—And Troll Each Other, Of Course

With the premiere of X-Men: Dark Phoenix quickly approaching, and the 20th anniversary of the original X-men also very close, 20th Century Fox decided to celebrate the legacy of their many mutant-driven films on Twitter by creating a new holiday: #XMenDay!


In honor of the occasion, Ryan Reynolds took a quick break from tweeting about Detective Pikachu to send up the merc with a mouth.

Hugh Jackman similarly took a moment to remember the role that made him a household name.

Of course, these two can never just play nice.



Jackman responded in kind to Reynolds's snark.



Fans looked back on some of their favorite Wolverine and Deadpool memories.


The X-Men always held a special place in creator Stan Lee's heart.
