TikToker @katie_elise_ shared how she found out the hard way what happens when you put off paying tolls despite mutliple warnings.

We can all admit that receiving bills in the mail, or by email, and having to go through the process of paying them is an absolute drag. While it's not that hard to do, it's certainly not a fun process, and it's not a great feeling to give your money away.

For all of those reasons and countless more, many people will do everything they can to put off paying their bills, no matter what kind of bill it may be.

But not paying your bills can get you into serious trouble, like having your power turned off or receiving an eviction notice.

And TikToker @Katie_elise_ just found out that waiting to pay your bills could lead to a court order or a warrant for your arrest, too.

Looking flabbergasted, the young woman held up a hefty stack of bills, admitting that she hated paying tolls.

"I avoid tolls like the plague. But I run late a lot, and hate being late. So, anytime I’m running late, I take tolls.”

The TikToker also had a lot of people contacting her about her bills.

"I’ve had the D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) [contacting me]. I’ve had some lawyers contact me. I didn’t think they were freaking serious!"

Fortunately for the TikToker, she only owed $51 in tolls. Clearly, that needed to be paid as soon as possible, but at least she didn't have thousands of dollars that needed to be accounted for.

As much as we look forward to being all grown up when we're children, adulting isn't all fun and games. There's cooking, cleaning, money management, working, and of course—kind of at the center of it all—paying bills.

But without paying the bills, we wouldn't have a home to clean or a kitchen to cook in, and we wouldn't have transportation to get to work. So as much as it might not feel great to pay those bills, it's better to just pay them and get them out of the way.

Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear Gives Pitch Perfect Answer On Why He Vetoed Anti-Trans Bill

Kentucky Democratic Governor Andy Beshear gave a pitch-perfect answer on why he vetoed "one of the nastiest anti-LGBTQ+ bills that my state had ever seen" despite the fact that he was up for reelection in deep-red Kentucky.

Last year, Beshear vetoed Senate Bill 150, a bill that bans all gender-affirming care for transgender youth, saying at the time that the legislation "tears away the freedom of parents to make important and difficult medical decisions for their kids.”

Let's be honest: It's harder than ever before to find a rental arrangement that matches our needs, our budgets, and our tastes.

A place that checks all of our boxes might be too far out of our price range, and unfortunately, despite how much we might be spending on rent, we might not even really like the place personally.

Video Of Māori Lawmakers Performing Haka To Protest Anti-Indigenous Bill Has Internet Cheering

New Zealand, like many places that were colonized, is going through a moment of political conflict with regards to indigenous rights. And some of the country's Māori lawmakers knew just how to handle it in a recent parliamentary session.

During discussions of proposed legislation—The Treaty Principles Bill—that critics say would significantly infringe on indigenous land and cultural rights, legislator Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke led her fellow lawmakers in a haka, a traditional Māori ceremonial dance.
