TikToker Flies 14 Hours To Surprise Her Boyfriend In Sweden—And His Reaction Is All Kinds Of Cringe

Okay do you know those adorable videos on social media where someone shows up to surprise a loved one?

And how the reaction is usually a moment of stunned silence followed by tears or a really cute hug/lift/spin combo or something?

And then everyone is in the comments with heart eyes and crying emojis?

Yeah this article isn't about that.

It could have been. That's probably what TikTok user @laurynmapusua was hoping for when she flew 14 hours to surprise her long distance boyfriend. But his reaction has TikTok thinking maybe Lauryn should've just gone back home and ditched this video idea - and the boy.

Her TikTok starts out normally, showing her travel adventures getting from the USA, where she was, to Sweden, where the young Romeo of our tale resides.

It's got your standard shots from the airport and footage out the window in her new destination. Things don't seem any different from every other reunion video out there - right up until Lauryn and her man see each other.

He froze in a moment of stunned silence alright … it's just that he never unfroze.

There was no greeting. He didn't even get up off the couch where he was laying. Or turn to face her - in fact he dropped his phone and rolled his hips slightly away from her.

Then he just stared - first at Lauryn and then at whoever was filming. Lauryn playfully pushed him a few times to try and get a reaction, but that didn't work. She then pulled on his arms to try and get him to stand, but he resisted.

Lauryn eventually had to climb onto the couch on top of her boyfriend, who continued to just blank-stare at her and at the camera person.

He never puts his arms around her or really moves to acknowledge her throughout the video.

She posted it anyway, complete with adorably lovey-dovey Ellie Goulding bop Still Falling For You providing the soundtrack.

Awkward Alert.

He was definitely surprised and confused 😂❤️❤️ #greenscreenvideo #longdistancerelationship #love #fyp #viral

Lauryn explained that he was "surprised and confused" by her presence because her trip to see him was planned for later in the month.

TikTok … had different opinions about his reaction.

So now that you've had a chance to see it, do you see a "surprised and confused" partner like Lauryn did?

Or do you agree with TikTok and think Lauryn might be all alone in love here?
Would you have posted this reaction video if this was your partner's response?
