TikToker @zockr was left 'traumatized' after an Indian woman he matched with on Bumble brought her parents along for their first date at a restaurant.

A man on TikTok went viral after an Indian woman he met on Bumble showed up to their first date...with her parents.

TikToker @zockr (Zakir), who is also Indian, revealed he was "traumatized" after the horrifying experience, and recounted the short-lived courtship on the social media platform.

Zakir shared that everything started just wonderfully. He met "Priyanka" ("you know, just for anonymity") on Bumble and was immediately drawn to her sense of humor.

The creator shared that her bio read:

“It’s either this or an arranged marriage."

Eventually, they began texting...and then FaceTiming.

Zakir was relieved when they finally video-chatted and he found "Priyanka" to be one and the same as her Bumble profile, as he had been duped before.

After a couple of days—and after discovering they both love Indian food—they decided to take their courtship to the next level and meet at an Indian restaurant.

Zakir shared how he arrived early to "scope out the place," and then returned to his car to wait. His date texted shortly after that she had arrived, and the two planned to meet at the entrance of the restaurant.

After their first in-person meet and greet, Zakir opened the door for his date who informed him they already had a table. She led him to a table where two people were already sitting.

“[She] uses her hand and gestures, 'oh, this is our table,' and I see two people that are sitting at our table. I’m like, 'uhh, who’s sitting at our table,' and there’s a table of four here?"
"And she’s like, 'oh, this is my mom and my dad.' And I’m like, 'hello, how are you doing?'”

Awkward.

He continued:

“I was not prepared for this moment in life. There was no way that she had brought her mom and dad with her on a first date, I’m like that’s it. This is my arranged marriage."
"I cannot hide from this moment in time. My love life expired. There’s officially an end date to my dating career, what is happening?”

Unfortunately for the TikToker, the evening didn't get any better.

“So Priyanka’s dad is sitting across from me at the table, Priyanka’s mom is sitting to my right, Priyanka’s sitting diagonally from me, and I could already tell that Priyanka’s dad for some reason or another does not like that I’m here, or even he’s here, and he looks at me and he says, ‘So I see that you’re interested in my daughter.'”

After sharing the interest was "a bit mutual," Zakir recalled his date's father prying about his occupation a bit before suggesting his parents meet them at the restaurant as well.

After explaining his parents were not local, the date seemed to end rather abruptly.

“Priyanka gets up, her mom gets up, the dad gets up and they all walk...are walking out of the restaurant I was like, what just happened? I thought I was...huh? What?"
"So I haven’t heard from Priyanka, I don’t know what is happening, so I thought I’d tell TikTok, and honestly, maybe it’s a sign that things weren’t going to work out, so, onto the next first date.”

Conspiracy Theories That Seem Believable The More You Look Into Them

Conspiracy theories have likely been around as long as human civilization has. They are, at their root, just another form of rumors and gossip.
