Clueless TikToker Goes Viral After Randomly Asking Willem Dafoe What He Does For A Living

TikToker @hikhann_ seemingly had no idea he was interviewing a movie star when he stopped Dafoe on the street in New York City to ask him about what he does for a living.

With the number of celebrities, singers, and actors there are in the world, it's impossible for us to know, let alone recognize, all of them.

But there are certain people you should recognize, or else someone might think you're strange.

New York TikTok influencer @hikhann_, who frequently stops people, especially celebrities, on the New York sidewalk to ask them questions about their everyday lives, casually bumped into Spider-Man's Willem Dafoe.

The TikToker started walking in pace with Dafoe, first complimenting him on his winter jacket before asking him what he did for a living.

When Dafoe said that he was an actor, the TikToker asked him for his name, to which the actor simply said, "Willem."

The TikToker then turned to more inspirational questions, including:

"What do you love about your job?"

Dafoe thought for a moment and then said:

"It's always different. Nothing's ever the same."

The TikToker tried to gather some advice for those just getting started in the industry:

"For someone who's just getting into your career, what advice can you tell them?"

Dafoe was quick to respond:

"I don't give advice... Everybody has to find their own way."
"Just enjoy!"

Dafoe took a few steps away, breath visible in the New York cold. The TikToker then asked:

"How do you want to be remembered?"

Dafoe answered honestly:

"I don't think about that."

The TikToker persisted:

"Last but not least, where do you see yourself five years from now? Any movies that we know about?"

Dafoe came back with another honest answer:

"I don't know. I mean, I have a hard time thinking beyond tomorrow."

A fan shouted for Willem Dafoe off-screen, and he pumped his hand up and down in excitement before walking away from the TikToker, ready to go on with his day.

Fellow TikTokers were flabbergasted by the video, not because of the interview questions but because the TikToker genuinely did not seem to know who Willem Dafoe was.

From asking for his name to questioning if he'd be in anything we'd recognize, he clearly wasn't familiar with the earlier Spider-Man franchise, The Fault in Our Stars, Aquaman, or many other hot titles that Dafoe was involved in.

Even in the comments section, some remained flabbergasted by the TikToker's interaction with Dafoe.

Others quipped about who Willem Dafoe "really" was: Norman Osborn, the scientist and Green Goblin from Spider-Man.

Some also commented on how thoughtful and refreshing Dafoe's responses were, not scripted.

While it's surprising there's an adult out there with a TikTok account who doesn't know who Willem Dafoe is, it's fun to imagine them now watching some of his films and discovering for themselves how great of an actor the man they just interviewed on the street actually is.

Trump Repeats Debunked Claim He Predicted 9/11 'A Year Before' It Happened In Bizarre Rant During Iran Remarks

President Donald Trump was called out for repeating his debunked claim that he predicted the September 11 terror attacks "a year before" they happened—all while speaking at the White House about his war with Iran.

Trump was addressing growing concerns about tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, a narrow passage at the entrance to the Persian Gulf that carries roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply. While the strait falls under international maritime law, Iran maintains substantial influence over the corridor.

MAGA Influencer Says Trump Seems 'Demonically Possessed' In Brutal Post Slamming Iran War

A 2024 study found a stronger belief in the existence of demons and adherence to a "shadow gospel" was associated with more favorable views of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump. The shadow gospel refers to versions of Christianity and conservatism conjured through anti-liberal messages with little to no basis in actual scripture.

Trump traded on the beliefs of Christian nationalist factions among his MAGA minions by calling the Democratic Party "demonic."
