So Apparently We've All Been Eating Pineapple The Wrong Way And We Are Not OK

  • Pineapples are a member of the Bromeliaceae family. They're enjoyed by people the world over. This is largely thanks to their lack of ripening after picking, which allows them to be easily transported throughout the world.

The sweet and tart flavor appeals to people of all ages.

Pineapples are notoriously difficult to eat though, with their fibrous core and spiny skins.

TikTok user @dillonroberts22 posted a video of someone eating a pineapple (loudly—mute the sound if chewing noises aren't your thing). It quickly made its way to the rest of the internet, and people aren't sure how they didn't know about it before.

Twitter users were amazed at the revelation.

One user pointed out that pineapples are actually a collection of "berries."

Several people had major issues with the noise of the person chewing, and apparently had a hard time focusing on anything else.

An easier way to eat pineapple? What's not to love? Give this method a try the next time you pick one up at the market! Or if you're hungry right now, look no further.

Amid the Iran war and the U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, oil has risen back to around $100 a barrel, pushing gasoline prices up by a record 25%.
