Reddit user GotTheC0nch asked: 'What is the boldest thing you've seen someone do to greatly lower their cost of living?'

Everyone likes to save money when they can.

Choosing to buy the cheaper brand of coffee than a pure Columbian bean, or always eating in and never splurging on a night out.

Some people, however, go to slightly greater lengths to ensure their cost of living stays low.

Taking penny pinching to a whole new level.

Redditor GotTheC0nch was curious to hear the greatest lengths people have gone to lower their cost of living, leading them to ask:

"What is the boldest thing you've seen someone do to greatly lower their cost of living?"
