There are some food pairings that are smashing successes.

Peanut butter and chocolate? Absolutely. A warm slice of apple pie and ice cream? A resounding "yes."

But there is one combination that is not getting unanimous praise on the internet, and that is a bag of peanuts mixed in with soda.

TikToker Trazia Rae demonstrated the southern delicacy in a video where she asked, "Does anybody else do this?" and, "Is this just a Florida thing?"

Does anyone else do this?? #asktiktok

The comments suggested that Rae's peanuts and Coke bottle combo was a solo preference.

However, some believed that peanuts mixed with a bottle of Coke was definitely a thing.

After dividing the internet, Rae posted a follow-up video to show the uninitiated how to make the concoction.

"OK, I am shocked at comments how nobody has ever heard of this," she said in the video before her demonstration.

"OK, so you take a Coke and you get peanuts - you can get any type - I like to use salted peanuts, my mom got dry roasted peanuts but you can either put it in a Coke, Pepsi, Dr Pepper, I've seen people put it in Sun drops, you can put it in any type of soda you want."
"I personally think it tastes better in like a darker soda such as like Pepsi or Coke."

Rae went on to explain the store ran out of regular Coke so she was using Cherry Coke with the peanuts for the first time.

"Mm-hmm, it's actually good with Cherry Coke," she confirmed after taking her first guzzle-chew.

She continued to endorse the beverage combo by describing it as "salty and sweet, and you got the peanut taste with the Coke and it's actually really, really good."

People shared their observations about the goober/pop delicacy.

To all the naysayers, she explained that she wanted to share something she's done since childhood.

One TikToker even provided an origin story for the unique delicacy.

The videos may have gone viral, but we'll have to wait and see if peanuts with Coke will make a resurgence any time soon.
