The E Street Band member riled up a conservative troll after sharing a photo with Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin and CBS News reporter Robert Costa on Twitter.

E Street Band member Steven Van Zandt called out a conservative troll who told him to "keep politics" out of his music after Van Zandt posted a photo of himself with Maryland Democratic Senator Jamie Raskin.

Van Zandt earlier made headlines after gifting a head covering to Representative Jamie Raskin, who is currently battling cancer. The photo shows himself and Raskin sporting their matching headgear.

Van Zandt wrote:

"My brother from another mother!"

The E Street Band member shared a second photo including CBS News reporter Robert Costa.

Van Zandt wrote:

"My DC bodyguards, Robert Costa and Jamie Raskin!"

You can see Van Zandt's second tweet below.

Not long afterward, a conservative troll—who later limited who could see their tweets—advised him to "keep politics" out of his music.

But any fan of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band knows politics has been part of their music for decades.

Van Zandt responded with the following comeback:

Fans praised Van Zandt for calling out the troll.

Raskin announced his diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year, describing it as "serious but curable." Despite the challenges of his illness, Raskin has continued to serve as a Congressman and fight for the causes he believes in.

Last month, Raskin received a special gift from Van Zandt, who he has referred to as "one of the greatest musicians on earth." The gift, a head covering similar to the one Van Zandt often wears, was clearly appreciated by the Congressman who praised the gesture on social media.

Van Zandt, who is known for his distinctive style and love of head coverings, has long been an icon of the music world. He has also become increasingly involved in political activism in recent years, using his platform to advocate for causes he believes in, such as gun control and Indigenous and immigrant rights.

Raskin, meanwhile, has become a key figure in the fight against Donald Trump and the rise of far-right extremism in the United States. His outspoken views on issues such as impeachment and election integrity have earned him both admirers and critics, but his commitment to his principles remains unwavering.

Elizabeth Warren Rips Education Secretary's Mind-Numbing Video For 'Teacher Appreciation Week'

Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren criticized Education Secretary Linda McMahon for paying tribute to educators during "Teacher Appreciation Week," noting the hypocrisy of McMahon's actions as she honors teachers on one hand and works to dismantle the Department of Education on the other.

In March, President Donald Trump signed an executive order empowering McMahon “to the maximum extent appropriate and permitted by law, take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return authority over education to the States and local communities.”

Town Hall Crowd Erupts In Jeering Chants After GOP Rep. Has Older Woman Dragged Out

New York Republican Representative Mike Lawler has angered his own constituents after he had a woman dragged out of his town hall for pressing him on his loyalty to President Donald Trump.

Emily Feiner, whose Bluesky profile describes her as a Jewish retired social worker and mother of two, later shared that she "was certainly no threat" and that she "asked my congressperson what his red line was to finally, vocally oppose the lawless administration and he didn’t answer the question, so I called out for him to answer it and he had me removed."
