There is no shortage of wonderful films out there.

Bonafide American classics?

Sign us up.

But there are more films out there that don't do so well. Either they don't make back their money or are critically panned.

And guess what?

These films have fans too—there's truly something out there for everyone.

Take the Friday the 13th films, for example. They're silly, even ridiculous.

One of them even has a telekinetic lead heroine in it.

But who cares? I can watch them anytime.

People shared their thoughts after Redditor tropicalazure asked the online community:

"What film, that is widely thought of as being rubbish, do you actually enjoy?"

Deep Blue Sea (1999)

"Deep Blue Sea. Samuel L Jackson’s big speech scene had me dying laughing."

SquanchMcSquaunchface

I adore this movie. It's hilarious – and one of my all-time favorite shark flicks. I can watch it anytime.

Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999)

"Drop Dead Gorgeous got mostly bad reviews, but to me it's one of the first and absolutely the best send-ups of 90s Reality TV and small-town USA ever made. I just love it."

CookieDeLaVie

This movie is hilarious! And that cast? Incredible. A great send-up of '90s reality television.

Hudson Hawk (1991)

"I enjoyed the hell out of Hudson Hawk and will not f*ck with that memory."

dmcat12

Hey, you do you. I didn't care for it, but this film has a pretty devoted fanbase.

Bedazzled (2000)

"Bedazzled. The whole Colombian cartel boss scene is one of my favorites in any comedy."

trojanman16

The 13th Warrior (1999)

"The 13th Warrior. I was a bit shocked by the bad reviews after seeing the film."

sixpackshaker

Not a bad Michael Crichton adaptation – it's fun!

Van Helsing (2004)

"Van Helsing. Best depiction of werewolves ever, great supporting characters, and epic settings. Also I've got a hard spot for the steamgothic weaponry."

obscureferences

I almost forgot this existed. I was quite bored by it, but to each their own.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010)

"Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time."

"It was a fun adventure that that suitably changed the story for film in my mind. The game is basically one big dungeon crawl where the only character the prince interacts with was Farah, so I think not turning everyone into monsters and going the route they did made a lot of sense."

AntYKD

Are we sure we actually like it? Or... could it be because of Jake Gylenhaal's spectacular abs?

Popeye (1980)

"Popeye (1980). It's weird and quirky and fun. People hate it because of how weird it is, but it's the weird details that make it interesting. Heavy nostalgia factor though because I grew up watching it."

theemyk

This film is trippy – Robert Altman definitely went through a weird phase and this is one of the more polarizing results.

Twister (1996)

"Twister. I’ve seen that piece of crap 20+ times and still love it."

AbbreviationDear382

Honestly? The cow is worth the price of admission alone.

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003)

"The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen (2003). Like yes it's deeply flawed and the addition of an adult Tom Sawyer as an American secret agent is very stupid, but I still greatly enjoy watching it."

Sir_Lord_Brit

Oh, people liked this? Ummm... okay.

Just kidding. Plenty of people did, I'm sure. But as an adaptation, it fails.

There's no accounting for taste... just messing with you all. You like what you like.
