Geraldo Slams Tucker Carlson for Saying That AOC 'Is Not a Woman of Color'

Far-right Fox News host Tucker Carlson repeatedly spews deranged conspiracy theories and anti-immigrant screeds to millions of viewers during his primetime slot.

Recently, he once again targeted progressive Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York, known colloquially as "AOC." He insisted that the Congresswoman, who is Puerto Rican, isn't a person of color, instead calling her a "rich entitled white lady."

Ocasio-Cortez's mother was born in Puerto Rico and her father was born in the United States to a Puerto Rican family. The Congresswoman has been outspoken in celebrating her Latina heritage, is fluent in Spanish, and has often referred to herself as a woman of color.

The vitriol she's faced for this heritage is evidence enough that the conservatives who support Carlson view AOC as a woman of color too.

A quick Twitter search reveals hundreds of revolting tweets referring to the Congresswoman with anti-Latino epithets. She was among the four Congresswomen of color whom Trump supporters chanted should be sent back to her country, though she was born in the United States and Puerto Rico has been a part of the U.S. since 1898.

As for Carlson's claim that AOC is "rich," she's certainly well off since ascending to Congress, but an investigation found her net worth is still far less than $1 million, unlike more than half of her congressional colleagues. Meanwhile, Carlson's net worth reportedly hovers around $30 million.

But racist diatribes and disinformation are crucial to Carlson's brand, and he proceeded to promote the delusion anyway.

Watch below.

Carlson said:

"The funniest moment was hearing Sandy Cortez describe herself as a 'woman of color.' She often does. No one ever dares to challenge that description, but every honest person knows it is hilariously absurd. There is no place on earth outside of American colleges and newsrooms where Sandy Cortez would be described as a 'woman of color,' because she's not. She's a rich entitled white lady."

The objectively false diatribe prompted a response from Ocasio-Cortez herself.

But a more surprising objection came from one of the conservative Fox News network's own contributors, Geraldo Rivera.

Rivera has largely fallen out of favor with Fox's conservative viewers for his condemnation of former President Donald Trump's election delusions, though Rivera did once support the former President.

These same conservatives were livid to see Rivera insist that a Latina woman is a woman of color.

Meanwhile, those with a grasp on reality joined Rivera in pushing back against Carlson's lies.

More deranged by the day.

ICE Director Says He Wants To Run Deportations Like Amazon Prime, 'But With Human Beings'

While his boss at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Kristi Noem, came hot off the heels of cosplaying again and demonstrating how not to hold a gun, the acting Director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) was modeling their human rights violations after online shopping.

Republican President Donald Trump's unconfirmed—nor congressionally vetted—acting Director of ICE, Todd Lyons, shared his dreams for the agency during the 2025 Border Security Expo, where private companies explored opportunities to profit from Trump’s mass deportations and rub elbows with Noem and Lyons.
