'Trump 2020 Landslide Victory' Somehow Trended The Same Day Impeachment Investigations Were Announced

Tuesday was an eventful day.

After revelations that President Donald Trump pressured Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate the business dealings of Trump's political opponent, former Vice President Joe Biden and his son Hunter, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) finally announced an official impeachment after months of hesitation.

And things only got wilder from there.

Much of the public applauded Pelosi's decision, with hashtags like #ImpeachmentParty, #ImpeachTheMF, and #ImpeachTrumpNOW soon skyrocketing to the top trending topics in the United States.

But there was one other hashtag that stood out.

Yup, #Trump2020LandslideVictory soon began trending in the United States.

People had a theory as to why.

It's unclear whether the trends actually originated from bots, or if the announcement of an impeachment inquiry emboldened Trump supporters.

What is indisputable is that Russia (and now the Ukraine) is still trying to influence the United States election in 2020.
