Don Jr. Slammed Over Appalling Claim That Democrats Hope Coronavirus 'Kills Millions' Of Americans So That They Can End Trump's 'Winning Streak'

In a Friday interview on Fox & Friends, Donald Trump Jr. parroted the Trump administration's latest rhetoric about COVID-19.

Dismissed as a hoax while at the same time restricting travel because of the non-existent—their words—threat, the Trump White House also sought to weaponize the coronavirus.

But not in the way popularized in science fiction thrillers. Instead President Donald Trump and his acolytes seek to use the coronavirus as a political weapon against Trump's opposition.

To that end Don Jr. appeared on Fox & Friends to spread his usual vitriol, lies and smirks.

Fox host Brian Kilmeade set up the premise for Don Jr. saying:

"And so now we're getting to sprint towards November for—to—to see if your dad can get four more years. Are you surprised the way they've been handling the coronavirus situation, meaning Democrats?"

In what always looks like a scripted appearance, Don Jr. had a ready response for Kilmeade's jumbled question.

Junior said:

"Not at all. I mean, we've seen—like you said, we've seen this play out for four years."
"Anything that they can use to try to hurt Trump, they will. Anything he does in a positive sense, like you heard from the reporter that was just suspended from ABC, they will not give him credit for."
"The playbook is old at this point."
"But for them to try to take a pandemic and seemingly hope that it comes here, and kills millions of people so that they could end Donald Trump's streak of winning, is a new level of sickness."
"You know, I don't know if this is coronavirus or Trump derangement syndrome, but these people are infected badly."

Sometimes people can get so desperate for approval or attention they'll sink to any depth.

But most people didn't sympathize with Jr.'s latest ploy on Fox.

However Fox & Friends and Don Jr. aren't looking to spread accurate information. Both seek attention and ratings from a devoted base.

Saying whatever they need to say to get that is just standard operating procedure.
