We regret to inform you the Trump family brain trust, Donald Trump Jr., is at it again.

Yes, the poster boy for never learning your lesson has gone on the ol' Twitter machine to post yet another classic in which he thinks he's cut a Democrat to the quick but has actually just typed out a bunch of nonsense words. This time, the eldest son of former Republican President Donald Trump has guns on the brain.

After Democratic President Joe Biden mocked gun-obsessed conservatives' fetishism of military-grade assault weapons in his State of the Union address by quipping, "You think the deer are wearing a Kevlar vest?" Trump Jr. had the perfect comeback.

Or at least he thought he did.

What he actually posted made no sense whatsoever, but that's par for the course at this point.

Anyway, see Trump Jr.'s big clapback below.

Trump Jr. tweeted:

"Joe, the reason American’s need an AR-15 with a 30 round magazine isn’t a deer in a Kevlar vest it’s what you’re watching take place on the news 24/7 this week in Ukraine🇺🇦 #sotu"

What on Earth does Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine have to do with U.S. gun laws, you ask?

Well let's see... it's happening on the other side of the world, in a country that is not the U.S. And while Putin has threatened to retaliate against us if we get involved, he's threatened to do so with nuclear weapons. All the assault rifles in the universe are no match for a single nuclear bomb.

As for our actual border mates, Canada and Mexico, both are allies to us and have no plans to invade us that we know of. So yeah: your guess is as good as ours when it comes to what on Earth this tweet could possibly mean.

But boy howdy, Jr. sure thinks he did something, doesn't he! But pretty much nobody on Twitter was impressed, and they let him know in no uncertain terms.

Someone please restart the countdown clock until Trump Jr.'s next nonsensical face-plant tweet. It's only a matter of time.
