On Sunday, September 13, President Trump turned heads when he claimed on Twitter to have won the "Bay of Pigs Award."

The internet was quick to point out to the President that there was no such thing as a "Bay of Pigs Award," and, if there was, it wouldn't be something to be proud of.

The Bay of Pigs invasion was not something to be proud of.

The internet was pretty skeptical of Trump's new "award."

The President has once again revealed just how little he knows and understands about U.S. history.

CNN's Daniel Dale reports that Trump was likely referring to an endorsement he received from the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association. Dale wrote:

"For those confused by Trump's claim he got the 'highly honored Bay of Pigs Award': He got an endorsement in 2016 from the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association. It's not an award. He has a long history of turning endorsements and other non-awards into awards."

Nearly every day, it seems that President Trump is shooting his mouth off on Twitter about some crazy lie.

Trump's strange boast may come back to hurt him more than help him.

Sorry about your fictional award, President Trump.

Don't worry, you still remind many people of the Bay of Pigs every time you talk foreign policy.

Trump Accidentally Roasts Himself With Ironic Question About 'Stupid People'

President Donald Trump was widely mocked after he attempted to defend his disastrous tariff strategy to reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday and issued a rhetorical question about "stupid people" that said more about him than anyone else.

Trump would later declare a full 90-day suspension of all the “reciprocal” tariffs that took effect at midnight April 10—except for those on China—in a dramatic about-face from a president who had long championed his historically high tariff rates as permanent.
