The Marvel star opened up to Men's Health about a variety of topics, including how he broke up a fight between two men at an L.A. Whole Foods after one of them recognized him as Spider-Man.

Ever since he almost literally swung onto the scene at the age of 20 as the iconic Spider-Man in 2016's Captain America: Civil War, Tom Holland instantly became one of the world's favorite superheroes.

He further established himself after headlining three Spider-Man films of his own: 2017's Spider-Man: Homecoming, 2019's Spider-Man: Far From Home and 2021's Spider-Man: No Way Home, where he memorably shared the screen with Hollywood's two previous "Spidey"s, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

However, Holland's heroic actions may not be reserved for the big screen, after he reportedly used his "spidey sense" to break up a fight at a Los Angeles area Whole Foods supermarket.

As part of his cover interview for Men's Health's January/February 2025 issue, Holland shared that during what started as a routine grocery run, the young actor witnessed the beginning of an apparent brawl between two unidentified men:

"They’re like going at it, right behind me."

Holland would eventually step in, grabbing one of the two assailants by the arm and leading him away from the fight.

While Holland was unsure of how the man would react, it didn't take long for him to realize who pulled him away.

"I can see that he’s recognized me immediately, and you could see the wheels turning, like, I’m really angry, but 'Spider-Man' is telling me to calm down.”
“So, yeah, I go to the supermarket."

As news of the story broke, people shared their amusement on X (formerly known as Twitter), applauding Holland for both his on and off-screen heroics, with many imagining how they would react had they witnessed this situation:

Holland's real-life heroics come during a notable year-long hiatus from acting, but those who have missed his celluloid web-slinging needn't fear.

During a recent appearance on The Tonight Show, Holland let it slip to host Jimmy Fallon that he will once again be donning the Spidey suit for his fourth stand-alone Spider-Man film:

"It's happening."
"Next summer, we start shooting, everything's good to go."
"We're nearly there."

This will mark Holland's sixth time portraying Marvel's friendly neighborhood Spider-Man on the big screen.

In addition to the aforementioned films, Holland joined his many distinguished colleagues in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by appearing as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in 2018 Avengers: Infinity War and 2019's Avengers: Endgame.

Those who don't have the patience to wait for the release of the as-yet-untitled next Spider-Man film can also breathe easy.

Deadline has reported that Holland will be part of the all-star cast of Christopher Nolan's upcoming cinematic adaptation of Homer's The Odyssey, with an expected July 2026 release.

Announced to include "brand new IMAX film technology," Holland is expected to appear opposite the likes of Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron and Zendaya.

Zendaya became Holland's real-life romantic partner after playing his on-screen love interest, MJ, in the Spider-Man films. And, after fan speculation about a diamond ring Zendaya wore to Sunday night's Golden Globes, and showed off to a reporter, a family source has confirmed their engagement. Congratulations, you two!
