Tom Hanks Just Crashed A Same-Sex Wedding Because He Wanted To Take A Picture With The Brides

Tom Hanks Just Crashed A Same-Sex Wedding Because He Wanted To Take A Picture With The Brides
FOX 11

Tom Hanks crashed a wedding—and we're here for it.

Tom Hanks, one of the most famous actors in the industry, was out for a jog in Santa Monica, California when he saw a wedding on the beach.

The wedding was that of Diciembre and Tashia Ferries. They had their ceremony on the beach in front of their loving families and one year-old son.

Tashia, a high-end celebrity chef, may be used to seeing movie stars, but nothing could have prepared her for what happened next.

Hanks, known for his starring roles in Forrest Gump, Cast Away, and Saving Private Ryan—among countless others—reportedly noticed how beautiful the wedding was as he was jogging by, and discovered that the newlyweds were a same-sex couple.

He then decided to crash their wedding and take photos with the brides.

He also told Tashia their wedding was "one of the most beautiful ceremonies that I've ever seen."

In an interview with Fox, Diciembre said:

"Our wedding was already a dream to me. To finally marry her – this was our day. And everybody we love was there, and… Tom Hanks just walks up!"
"Out of all days, out of all people, he walked on the beach today. It was meant to be."

Hanks' appearance at their wedding had a special meaning for the brides.

Diciembre's brother had passed away before the wedding. In his place, they had a photo of him resting on his assigned seat.

It turned out Diciembre's brother and Hanks shared a birthday.

The couple said Hanks showing up was like fate.

They said:

"It was like that was a message that he (brother) was there!"

Another reason the brides appreciated Hanks' presence was because Hanks is known in Hollywood for being a advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and his attendance made them feel more accepted.

Diciembre said:

"For us to be two women—yes it's 2021, but it's just unfortunately not accepted everywhere yet—but it's like he didn't even see that."

Twitter users fell head-over-heels with Hanks' kind gesture.

It isn't every day one of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood crashes a wedding, but hopefully Hanks will continue to spread the joy around.

You love to see it!

Over the weekend, Mace shared a video she recorded in the skincare aisle of a South Carolina Ulta store, in which she confronts a man she assumes is gay after he inquired about her public schedule. While the man remained calm and kept a respectful distance, Mace quickly escalated the situation—invoking LGBTQ+ topics without prompting, shouting profanities, and accusing him of harassment.

MAGA MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell Dragged After Weeping To Judge That He Has No Money To Pay Fines

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell was mocked online after it emerged that he reportedly sobbed to a judge that he's "in ruins" and doesn't have the money to pay a court-ordered $50,000 fine to the voting software company Smartmatic, which he falsely claimed had rigged the 2020 election results in favor of former President Joe Biden.

Appearing via Zoom at a hearing in U.S. District Court in Washington, D.C., Lindell claimed Wednesday that he doesn’t even have “5 cents” to put toward the $56,396 he owes the company, telling the court he has “nothing” beyond two homes currently being liquidated and a truck. He has recently laid off hundreds of MyPillow employees due to what he described as severe financial distress.
