TikToker Bu-Wan warned of getting face tattoos after getting his new passport photo taken at CVS, only to have it look like a mugshot.

A man on TikTok warned against getting face tattoos after his passport photo came out looking like a mugshot.

We all know when it comes to ID photos—whether it be work badges, driver licenses or the aforementioned passport—we really can't expect a Glamour Shots experience, but TikToker Bu-Wan (@antikpopstar) was absolutely mortified when he looked like a "criminal" in his.

In the video captioned, "i need to erase all my tattoos help me," Bu-Wan warned:

“Don’t ever get a face tattoo."
"I was at CVS trying to take my passport photos cause my passport expired and I know what I look like."

He continued:

“OK, so I try to soften my look every time I take a professional photo."
"So I’m sitting there and he’s like, ‘OK can you look normal?'”
“First off, sir, I’m trying, this is what I thought I look like."

He flashed a smile.

But apparently that's not the expression that was captured.

“But no my photo turned out like this."

Bu-Wan held up his CVS passport photos.

“A criminal!"
"I look like I just escaped North Korea."

Bu-Wan's TikTok has been viewed more than 5 million times since it was posted just last week.

The creation garnered quite the reaction from viewers, and the TikToker took time to reply to several.

After one person wondered if perhaps the tattoo wasn't the reason his photo looked like a mugshot, Bu-Wan agreed and showed off several other photo IDs, even pre-face art.

24-year-old YouTuber Mykhailo Viktorovych Polyakov was arrested after making contact with one of the world's last uncontacted tribes, making the perilous and ill-advised journey to North Sentinel Island and leaving a coconut and a can of Diet Coke on the beach as a gift to the Sentinelese.

Polyakov, 24, arrived at the northeastern shore of North Sentinel Island at 10 a.m. on March 29, according to police reports. He used binoculars to survey the land but saw no one.
