People who are struggling to make ends meet would go to great lengths to land a job–including falsely representing themselves to impress a potential employer.

TikToker @firelordnick posed as a conservative Christian for an online job interview and subsequently sparked mixed reactions based on his deceptive tactic.


In the since made private or deleted viral video, he wrote in the caption:

"Gotta chase the bag."

Meaning he endeavored to hustle hard for the money–even if it meant faking his faith.

Nick told his presumptive interviewer in the since unavailable video:

"I would love to ask supporters to donate to the conservative non-profit Christian Organizations."

The text overlay in the clip notified TikTokers he was:

"pretending to be a Christian to get the job."

He then revealed the cross he was wearing tucked inside his turtleneck to the prospective employer and falsely claimed it was given to him by his grandmother.

The video was viewed over 315,000 times before being made unavailable.
