TikToker @betzyproduction explained how her Roomba had escaped while the front door was open after realizing her doorbell camera had captured video of it outside her house.

Since Roombas and Alexas and other home devices have become more popular, there have been all kinds of stories about strange things happening with these devices, like an Alexa turning on in the middle of the night and making random searches on the internet.

But TikToker @betzyproduction recently had a strange incident with her Roomba when it got outside after the front door was left open.

Reportedly, the homeowner could not find her Roomba for two days and only succeeded in bringing it home with the help of her front door camera, which caught the Roomba traveling down her front sidewalk.

Betzy explained in the comments that "We had my front door open because we were putting Christmas decorations in and out all day. [The Roomba] normally stops at the stairs."

The Roomba "didn't get far" before she brought it back inside to clean it, but it definitely took some damage.

According to the TikToker, the Roomba lost all of its bottom padding and both of its cleaning brushes while attempting to clean the streets outside.

But the restaurant Sonic Drive-In was beside itself and completely in awe of the story of the traveling Roomba, asking in a comment:

"HOW DID IT GET OUTSIDE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?"

Betzy quipped in return:

"It was craving a Sonic Cherry Limeade with that wonderful Sonic ice."

In the video, Sonic quipped:

"We are still looking for answers on how it got outside...but yeah, we have the Roomba safe and sound, hanging with our ice."

The TikToker was not phased by the Roomba-napping joke and shared another video, featuring her Roomba on its ride back home, this time carrying that craved Cherry Limeade with Sonic ice.

There are all kinds of valid reasons to leave the front door open from time to time, but it seems now that won't be an option for Betzy since her Roomba now has a taste for travel.

And, of course, a craving for Sonic's cherry limeade.
