A woman on TikTok has gone viral for the harrowing moment she caught and confronted a man masturbating in a park after following her while she was on a run.
TikToker Trinity Hannaway, who goes by @trinity_anne_ on the app, explained that the man had been following her for quite some time, and she tried to run away from him but ran out of breath.
She then caught him hiding behind a tree masturbating while watching her and confronted him, camera in hand.

In her onscreen caption, Hannaway explained what exactly went down while she was running on the Trinity Trail in Fort Worth, Texas.
"POV. Already 7 miles into your usual run you notice a man following you so you try running away from him but run out of breath, then arm distance away he whips it out and gets close until you take out your phone where he then hides behind a tree touching IT."
"so you chase after him and record vid to show police."
Her video showed her yelling at the man as he tried to obscure himself from her camera, before finally bolting and running away. Hannaway intially followed him, yelling "Run, you little sh*t!" before dissolving into terrified tears.
Because some TikTokers accused her of staging the whole thing, Hannaway posted a follow-up TikTok showing photos of the police who showed up to the scene afterward.
She captioned that video with a sentiment likely familiar to all too many women:
"This is very much real. It is not uncommon for these things to happen nowadays."
"Believe me or not. This is mine and others reality."
Despite how terrifying the encounter was, Hannaway is defiant about not allowing herself to be terrified.
She captioned her video:
"Girls. YOU are in control. Not them."
Other TikTokers took to the comments to show Hannaway their support.

Though Hannaway posted another follow-up TikTok in which she returned to the trail with tear gas as a form of confronting her newfound fears stemming from the incident, she also said she will not be running that trail anymore.
