Woman's Story Of Getting Called A 'F***ing Socialist' For Kind Shopping Cart Gesture Has TikTok Cackling

TikToker @heyyyyitsray told a hilarious story of getting called a "f***ing socialist" by a nice-looking old lady at Aldi after she offered her her shopping cart.

A woman extended a kind gesture to an elderly stranger at a grocery store and got the worst reaction for it, and it prompted her to share the shocking encounter immediately on TikTok.

Ray, a.k.a TikToker @heyyyyitsray, posted the video with the text overlay that read, "Storytime: Grocery shopping at Aldi."

Aldi is a German multinational discount grocery chain, which, unlike most large grocery stores in the U.S., requires patrons to pay a quarter to use its grocery carts by dropping a quarter into a designated slot.

This was the starting point for the bonkers story.

"What just happened?" Ray said in the video, and she tried to continue the best she could without giving in to fits of laughter from the jaw-dropping interaction.

From her car parked at an Aldi location, Ray said:

"I'm at the Aldi, right? When I got my cart because you put your quarter in, there was already a quarter in there."
"I'm like OK, so when I go put my cart back, I'm either gonna leave it there or I'm just gonna give it to someone and tell them to keep the quarter."

When an older patron approached the cart carousel, Ray knew exactly what to do: help out a fellow shopper by giving away the spare coin.

Ray continued:

"So, this really sweet looking old lady comes up and I said, 'Hey do you need a cart?' And she's like, 'Well, yeah.'"

"And she goes to hand me a quarter and I said," said Ray, as she tried in vain to suppress her giggling fit.

When she managed to collect herself, she resumed.

"I said, 'No that's OK, keep your quarter and pay it forward."

That was when the old woman responded by telling our TikToker:

"Okay, you f'king socialist!"

Still reeling from the shock of what the cranky woman said to her, Ray started crying-laughing, with tears in her eyes, before going on.

The video ended with Ray saying:

"I was just trying to be nice. I'm a f'king socialist."
"That's fine, that's fine! I did not expect to be called out like that on a Wednesday. Oh man ... All right."

Here is the video.

Karoline Leavitt Dragged After Making Mind-Numbing Claim About Trump's Tariffs Reversal

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is getting called out after she attempted to justify President Donald Trump's sudden reversal on his proposed tariffs, telling reporters that his actions make sense because he has a master plan to make the world bend the knee.

Trump declared a full 90-day suspension of all the “reciprocal” tariffs that took effect at midnight April 10—except for those on China—in a dramatic about-face from a president who had long championed his historically high tariff rates as permanent.
