TikToker @brookesobasic was alarmed when her nipple started turning black.

A person's body changing during and after pregnancy isn't unheard of—though most new moms probably don't have "lose a nipple" on their pregnancy bingo card.

TikToker and mom Brooke (@brookesobasic) shared a harrowing story of how a breastfeeding session turned into a horror movie when she realized her nipple had detached from her body.

Brooke explained she was 15 when the incident happened.

My rare experience, I was clueless about the possibility. #mamatok #learning #breastfed #nursing #pregnancy #mom #horrorstory #fypシ #storytime #iwishiknew #randomthings

As a new and young mom, she noticed her nipple began to become discolored but didn't realize it was due to a lack of blood flow and the skin tissue was dying.

Called nipple vasospasm this phenomenon can occur when the blood vessels in the nipple spasm, usually in response to trauma according to Pregnancy Birth & Baby.

Eventually one day, while feeding her son, she realized he was no longer latched to her nipple. When she looked down, she saw the nipple had fallen off and into the baby's mouth.

Miraculously, Brooke simply rinsed it off and re-attached it to her breast with a bandaid which actually worked to heal it.

People in the comments were just as clueless about this possibly happening.
