TikToker Recalls Terrifying Story Of Man Who Followed Her For Five Miles Just To Tell Her She's Pretty

A woman went public via TikTok to share a horrifying experience where she was followed by a man for five whole miles just so he could pay her a petty compliment—in the process causing her to fear for her life.

User @buzzcutkenny, also known as Kenny, was pulling into her home when another car pulled right behind her, which she thought nothing of.

But from there, this story becomes anything but normal.

I hate males WHY WOULD THIS EVER BE OK #creepy #men #scarymen

From there, Kenny started feeling unsafe as soon as the car wedged itself in front of her, preventing her from going any further.

The man asked Kenny if she lived there, and she lied--saying she was visiting a friend--in order to protect her safety. He then immediately went into creepy world when he said he'd "been following [her] for five miles" after seeing her at a traffic light.

The reason this man had been following Kenny since the stoplight was to tell her she was pretty. Kenny was, notably, unappreciative.

"In what f**king world is that appropriate?"

But unfortunately, not every user was on her side.

"Like you should be grateful he thinks you're pretty," wrote one user. "And the fact you start talking sh*t about men on an app made by men!"

However, other TikTokers were not amused by ignorant men in the comments suggesting that Kenny should have been grateful for this unsettling interaction.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" asked one.

"He followed her and then asked her if she lived there. He had ulterior motives."

Another user suggested that men cannot relate to feeling unsafe in Kenny's situation because "male privilege makes them think this is acceptable. They don't think twice because they can't relate to fearing for their safety."

Presumably, Kenny told the man to take a hike shortly thereafter, and he hopefully won't be following her for any stretch of mileage again.

We're all human here, so we all make mistakes. Most mistakes can be resolved with a genuine apology, hot glue to fix a broken vase, and a good cleaning solution for a big spill.

Other mistakes, like bullying someone or breaking someone's heart, are much more guilt-inducing and harder for everyone to get over.

Chef Sparks Debate After Claiming That 'Fine Dining' Is A 'Scam' In Viral TikTok Rant

We've all heard the phrase, "You get what you pay for," and it at least used to be true that a quality product or a quality experience would cost more than the affordable options.

But now it seems that you can have a quality product, a quality experience, or a quality creator, but you're not likely to get all three at the same time.
