People Are Outraged After TikToker Shows Their Mind-Boggling $3 Million Hospital Bill

Social media users were dumbfounded after watching a TikTok video claiming to reveal the staggering cost of staying in a U.S. hospital for someone who was infected by the viral pathogen responsible for the pandemic.

Posted by the @letstalkaboutbusiness TikTok account, the clip showed the hospital stay medical costs totaling nearly three million dollars.


According to the Daily Dot, the post received more than 8 million views in less than 24 hours.

The top of the document read, "This is not a bill," indicating the paperwork was meant as an explanation of medical charges for the presumably insured patient, and not a bill.

Before scrolling through the itemized list, the text appearing on the video read, "4 months in a USA hospital with [the virus]," before revealing the total cost, which came to $2,850,776.10.

The list included respiratory therapy for $550,000, intensive care stay for $324,349.00, and more than $404,000 for intermediate ICU.

Many international TikTokers assumed the patient was responsible for actually paying the bill and commented on seeing an example of exorbitant healthcare in America.
