This Chart Comparing Obama's And Trump's Tenures In Office Is A Lesson In Stark Contrast

Donald Trump continues putting the nation through the wringer.

Where to begin?

The appointment of unqualified cabinet members (i.e. Betsy DeVos, Rick Perry, Scott Pruitt, Ben Carson, etc...) who are spat back out through the revolving door of investigations; the ripping apart of families through heinous immigration policies; and threatening us with that wretched wall of his, are many examples of a turbulent political era.

Looking back at former President Barack Obama's tenure in the Oval Office, the stark contrast between the two administrations is glaring and actress Debra Messing tweeted a visual aid that perfectly exemplified the diametrically opposed presidencies.

The Will & Grace star, who was a champion for Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign in 2016, reminded the American people that Obama is the only president since Richard Nixon changed the dynamic of how we view the President who hasn't been under independent investigations into his activities, or the activities of his family or subordinates

"When the gaslighting happens, refer to this please," Messing tweeted on Tuesday.

Messing enlightened those who haven't been keeping score on the Russian investigation, by comparing Obama's resume of "No Obama investigation," "No Obama Special Counsel investigations," "No Obama administration indictments," and overall "No drama... Obama."

Regarding the 4-year Hillary Clinton Benghazi "investigation," Messing also provided results of zero indictments and convictions.

Looking at Trump's red column, his investigative list is unsurprisingly extensive. He continues to deny any collusion and called the Russia probe led by Special Counsel Robert Mueller a "witch hunt."

The Trump/Russia investigation however, as indicated in this chart, led to "34 indictments/Charges (individuals) (and of counting), 3 indictments/Charges (Companies), 5 GUILTY pleas (and counting), 4 CONVICTIONS (and counting)."

Honorable mentions of those indicted include, Roger Stone, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates, George Papadopoulos, Michael Flynn, Michael Cohen, Richard Pinedo, Alex van der Zwaan, Konstantin Kilimnik, Russian GRU soldiers, Yevgeny Prigozhin, Mikhail Burchik, Alexksandra Krylova, Anna Bogacheva, Sergey Polozov, Maria Bovda, Dzheykhun Aslanov, Vadim Podkopaev, Irina Kaverzina, Gleb Vasilchenko, Internet Research Agency, and Concord Management.

The five guilty pleas include, Michael Flynn, Michael Cohen, George Papadopoulos, Richard Pinedo, Alex van der Zwaan, and Rick Gates.

Messing's bold tweet drew public ire from conservatives. Many deflected the veracity in the chart's statistics and questioned her sanity as well as bashed all of Hollywood for their attacks on Donald Trump.

One criticized the actress for incorrectly using the term "gaslighting."

However, all those paled in comparison to the number of responses agreeing with the actress and their frustration over the sitting president still in office.

It's all semantics.

What kind of world are we living in?

Not every investigation could be crammed into the tight, red column.

Okay, so Obama wasn't entirely free of scrutiny.

And even that was challenged.

Messing has always been a vocal critic of Trump, calling his leadership a "catastrophe" and even locked horns with Susan Sarandon, a known Trump supporter who told Variety that Trump inspired more women to run for office.

Messing famously responded to Sarandon's interview, tweeting:

"STFU Susan."

Dem Rep. Blasts CNN Pundit For Griping About 'DEI' Firefighters Amid LA Wildfires

During a CNN appearance on Newsnight with Abby Phillip, Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett laid into conservative pundit Scott Jennings for insinuating that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to diversify California fire departments are partially to blame for the Los Angeles wildfires.

Deadly wildfires in Los Angeles County remain largely uncontained, with officials reporting at least five confirmed fatalities so far. However, on Thursday, authorities admitted, “frankly, we don’t know” the true extent of the death toll. Evacuation orders are currently affecting nearly 180,000 residents, as thousands of homes and buildings have been destroyed.

Jesse Watters Admits The Real Reason He Supports Trump's Proposal To Annex Canada

Fox News personality Jesse Watters was criticized after exclaiming on The Five that the reason why he supports President-elect Donald Trump's proposal to annex Canada is precisely because Canadians don't want this to happen at all.

Watters' remarks are the latest development since Trump made headlines for jabbing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with remarks about Canadian statehood.

Dem Rep. Hilariously Trolls Trump For Fixation On Canada And Greenland Instead Of Lowering Costs

California Democratic Representative Eric Swalwell had social media users cackling after he trolled President-elect Donald Trump over his threats to take over Canada and Greenland rather than lowering grocery prices as he promised during the campaign.

Swalwell is the latest politician to respond to Trump over the matter since he made headlines for jabbing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with remarks about Canadian statehood and calling "the ownership and control of Greenland" an "absolute necessity."

People Recall The Most Out Of Touch Thing They've Heard Anyone Say

Getting everyone's point of view can be fascinating whenever you're with a group of people engaged in a discussion on a range of topics. However, the occasion can be eye-opening when someone unable to read the room makes a comment that can be interpreted as wildly inappropriate.

In an age where social norms are always challenging the way we engage in discourse, nothing is surprising... except for that one rare instance.
