The Cadbury bunny has been the face of Easter for years, but this year, the holiday's getting a canine-like twist.
You know, this sweet little clucking thing?

Well, his reign is over... for now.
That's right: This year's "Cadbury bunny" isn't a bunny at all. It's an 18-month-old bulldog.
Its name is Henri and it won the candy company's first "Bunny Tryouts" competition. Over 4,000 pets participated in the competition, which ended Saturday. To enter, pet owners had to submit photos of their pets wearing bunny ears.
The announcement was posted to Henri's official Instagram account. It reads:
WE WON!!! Henri wants to send out a HUGE SMOOCH to everyone who showed him some love. BIG HUGS to all who entered the contest. Your bunny pics made us smile! A HUGE Thank You to the wonderful people at Cadbury USA and to Doug The Pug, guest judge, for picking Henri! He would LOVE to meet you one day and share a Smooch!
Here's the moment when Cadbury proclaimed Henri the winner:
Quite the news: This is the first time Cadbury's gone ahead with a change to its ad for cream-filled chocolate eggs in 35 years. The new ad airs next month, on April 21. Henri––and his owners, of course––will receive $5,000 for their participation. Cadbury has announced it will donate $10,000 to the ASPCA.
Is Henri cut out for his big break? People seem to think so. He has fans already!
"We are honored to expand our tradition and welcome Henri as a new character to the commercial,"Cadbury spokeswoman Katrina Vatter said in a press release.
Way to go, pup!
