The Greek Alphabet continues to wreak havoc on the USA as the most prolific variant of COVID-19 surges around the world, causing disruptions in a far different way than the early days of the pandemic.

With data rolling in and supporting alternative rules for managing this particular surge of the pandemic, most businesses are staying open during this current surge of the virus, but many are struggling.

Even major franchises are having trouble finding the staff to keep up, as many fall ill.

TikToker Jen (@jenn.ys) found herself in a really stressful situation when her manager at a Starbucks inside of a Target store was fired while she was on shift.

Not only that, but her coworkers were all sick, leaving her to be the only person in charge of the store—at seventeen years of age.

Her TikTok video had only one sound, which said:

"The barista was too stunned to speak."

What's more, Jen was not technically certified yet for the job and was only just completing her training when she was asked to run the store by herself.

And the nail in the coffin for many users-despite doing three people's jobs and running an autonomous coffee stand by herself, our original poster was not given any kind of bonus for her work.

In a follow-up video, our original poster clarified she was not totally alone, as employees of the target were in the store with her.

She was, however, expected to run the Starbucks alone.

"It actually went really well, because I know how to do my job," she boasted.

"I was just very overwhelmed because it was the second night in a row that they told me, 'okay, here's three hours to go off on your own and then close.'"

While our original poster appears to be in good spirits, many are seeing the video as symptomatic of a greater issue within the USA, causing a collapsing economic structure in a public health emergency.
