Senator Ted Cruz has long been accused of being no friend to people of color.
As such, his recent attack on Justin Timberlake under the guise of concern for minority owned businesses while also trying to make Black Lives Matter protestors look violent drew more criticism than praise.
After Justin Timberlake posted a tweet in support of donations to the Minnesota Freedom Fund, Cruz (a Republican Senator from Texas) decided to retweet him and add his two cents.
Justin, how about giving your millions to a fund to help the African-American and Hispanic small businesses that are being burned & looted, rather than a fund to bail out the spoiled (often white) ANTIFA terrorists who are destroying minority communities? https://t.co/klWyoy4fwn

But Twitter is not to be messed with.
Especially not right now.
Ted, how about you give all your NRA money to George Floyd's family?

@tedcruz there are not Antifa protesters. These are Proud Boys and Boogaloo protesters. In other words, white supremicists trying to incite a war against police and a are war. In other words, they are on the far right.

Ted Cruz is pro-fascism. #IAmAntifa

Ted, you can throw in some of your millions too.

From “very fine people" at Charlottesville,
to “when looting starts, the shooting starts" this week,
4 yrs of Trump evil
Now cops with white nationalist signals
With full support of #TrumpSenateCowards
Blood on your hands⁰, @tedcruz

Several people are pointing out that Ted Cruz is also a millionaire and could donate his money if he's so worried.
Not only that, he could affect change in other ways.
Why have you been so consumed with Hollywood and celebrities, lately? Its weird. Your constituents are Texans, and we don't need your irrelevant and divisive rhetoric at a time like this. Do your damn job!
— Shelly (@ShellyWestTexas) June 1, 2020
Why don't Congress go and make it so police departments are held to higher accountability standards so maybe this don't keep happening.
— Brandon Butler (@butlerb92) June 1, 2020
Hey Ted.....resign
— Anne (@bently46) June 1, 2020
You're spreading falsehoods about Antifa. Of course.
— chulesee (@chulesee) June 1, 2020
Ted how about you push for societal reform in your justice system?? Instead of attacking people who give a damn. Where is the Potus. Why hasn't he fronted the nation and encouraged calm?? Cause all he knows how to do is inflame the situation. Joe Biden took a knee. pic.twitter.com/PFXQIrgWLS

It's hypocrisy at its finest.
Your racist as they come Ted
— Rudy Perez (@Osub137Rudy) June 1, 2020
Ted, how about donating some of your money to help minorities start small businesses or pay for college..Btw, they have confirmed that it is the work Neo-Nazi groups who are literally adding fuel to the fire to incite trouble amongst the protesters.
— Stella Vote Blue (@QuirkyGirl9) June 1, 2020
How about you stay in your lane? You don't live here and you know nothing about what is going on here. MPD has a history of racism and 98% of cops here are white. Their police union president is a white supremacist. They are targeting people of color and journalists.
— Sconnybrew (@sconnybrew) June 1, 2020
Ted, as a good capitalist, maybe you shouldn't be telling another man WHAT TO DO WITH HIS OWN DAMN MONEY. How much have you contributed to the rebuilding in Minneapolis, Ted?
— xxxJDxxx (@xxxJDxxx3) June 1, 2020
Ted -- any day now let us know when you will call for the resignation of the corrupt, lying, amoral, cowardly, racist white nationalist criminal occupying the White House.

Justin Timberlake has yet to respond to Cruz's tweet, but celebrities are en masse tweeting out support for organizations like the Minnesota Freedom Fund.
