Father of Parkland Shooting Victim Slams Ted Cruz as 'Miserable Liar' After NRA Posts Video of Cruz Slandering Democrats

Father of Parkland Shooting Victim Slams Ted Cruz as 'Miserable Liar' After NRA Posts Video of Cruz Slandering Democrats

The National Rifle Association partnered with Republican Senator from Texas Ted Cruz at the start of this year to spew false and alarmist claims about Democrats.

The NRA shared a video of Cruz on Twitter falsely claiming that Democrats wanted to "take your freedom" for wanting assault weapons regulated differently than 18th century muskets.

Watch the video below:

Apparently forgetting that Democrats are just as American as Republicans, Cruz said:

"The Left has lost their minds. They're filled with anger, they're filled with rage, they hate President Trump, and they hate your freedom. They hate your liberties. They want to come after them. We're seeing the Left getting more and more angry as they're promising to try to take your guns, to take your freedom. They want to make you dependent on government."

Fred Guttenberg, who became a gun reform activist after tragically losing his daughter at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High Shooting, had some choice words for the deceptive Senator.

Guttenberg called out Cruz for implying that his efforts to protect others from the same fate as his daughter meant that he hated Americans' freedom.

Others agreed that this was the worst Ted talk ever.

Cruz received over $360,000 from gun rights money in 2016.
