California Republican gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner is getting a full dose of what her political party stands for this week. First Republican transphobia was on full display at the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC) event in Dallas, Texas.

Then Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia attacked the people supporting Jenner's run for governor with transphobic rhetoric.

Greene tweeted:

Jenner responsded:

Despite Greene's claims, conservatives love to play the identity politics game.

This made it easy for Jenner to bring up Greene losing a case against a political action committee Meidastouch LLC who used the funds from winning to lobby for greater gun control.

Greene's tweet comes after Jenner was harassed by an attendee at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).

A video of a CPAC attendee deadnaming Jenner and calling her a "sick freak" went viral online. Afterwards, a number of conservative personalities took sides with some defending Jenner and others doubling down on the vitriol.

In either case, no one forgot the Republican party is a party steeped in transphobia.

Greene is a controversial lawmaker, with a number of hateful quotes attributed to her. She's also been known in the past to push conspiracy theories such as QAnon or "Pizzagate" before that.

Before this fight with Jenner, Greene's main target was Democratic Representative Marie Newman of Illinois, who has a transgender daughter. Greene would post signs outside her office, directly across from Newman, stating "There are two genders" and mockingly saying "Trust the science!"

As bad as Greene is, Jenner isn't that much better.

She's supported legislation that would hurt or discriminate against other trans people, such as endorsing former President Donald Trumps' ban on trans people from serving in the military. She's also running on a very standard Republican platform that includes excluding trans girls from playing in sports for girls.

Despite their fight, Greene and Jenner are both the same politically.

Greene will be co-hosting an America First rally this weekend, either oblivious or fully aware of America First's Ku Klux Klan origins. Greene has been sharing the stage in these rallies with embattled Florida Republican Representative Matt Gaetz who is being investigated for sex trafficking of a minor.

Jenner continues campaigning for the California recall election, set for September 14, 2021.

The all-woman Blue Origin space flight doesn't seem to have elicited the response from the public that anyone involved expected, and CBS Mornings host Gayle King isn't having it.

Waves of criticism have been leveled at the participants for their out-of-touch statements about the trip, the expense and pollution of which have struck many as a "let them eat cake" moment in these times.

Someone Flew A 'Trump Country' Banner Over Bernie And AOC's Packed Rally—And AOC Clapped Back Hard

Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had the perfect response after one of President Donald Trump's supporters flew a banner reading "Folsom Is Trump Country" over a Northern California rally she held with her colleague, Vermont Independent Senator Bernie Sanders.

She brushed off a warning that they were entering “Trump country” as the crowd swelled in deep-red Folsom, a Republican stronghold nestled in Representative Kevin Kiley’s district. Just to drive the point home, a small plane buzzed above the rally, trailing a banner in bold red letters: “Folsom Is Trump Country.”

MAGA Senator Gets An Earful From Angry Constituents During Iowa Town Hall—And It's Pure Fire

Iowa Republican Senator Chuck Grassley was criticized by his "pissed" constituents during a town hall in Fort Madison this week who demanded why he hasn’t taken stronger action to hold President Donald Trump and his administration accountable as tensions escalate with the Supreme Court.

Those in attendance were galvanized by the Trump administration’s refusal to comply with a unanimous Supreme Court order instructing the White House to “facilitate” the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia. Garcia was mistakenly deported to a prison in El Salvador known for its reputation for torture.
