The Cast Of 'Taxi' Just Had A Mini-Reunion 40 Years After It Ended—And Fans Are Ecstatic

Christopher Lloyd shared a group photo on Twitter after recently meeting up with Tony Danza, Judd Hirsch and Carol Kane.

Four "Taxi" cast mates got together for lunch 40 years after the iconic sitcom's conclusion.

The Emmy-winning sitcom which aired from 1978-1983 followed the lives of a group of employees of the Sunshine Cab Company in New York City. It launched the careers of Judd Hirsch, Christopher Lloyd, Marilu Henner, Danny DeVito, Tony Danza, Carol Kane and late stars Jeff Conaway and Andy Kaufman.


Fortunately for the show's fans, Christopher Lloyd, Judd Hirsh, Carol Kane and Tony Danza tweeted about the special occasion and shared a sweet photograph from lunch.


Taxi debuted on ABC before being canceled after Season 4, then was brought back on NBC for its 5th and final season.

At the time of its airing, it wasn't a ratings hit, but did very well with critics and racked up the Emmy awards. It became a syndicated staple and aired as part of Nickelodeon's Nick at Nite lineup for years.

Fans of the show were elated to see the cast gathering together again.


Even some of the show's more famous fans shared their support of the meetup.

Folks noted who was missing.



The reunion inspired people to share their favorite scenes, which for many was the "Yellow light" scene.


Other favorites were mentioned.

Some wanted an on-air reunion.


It's always great to see old friends getting together.
