People in the comments also wanted to know how the situation played out, and @classashley gave them what they wanted in a series of follow-up videos.
In the first, she shared:
“Day 1: Beekeeper removed 20,000 bees and 100+ lbs (45kg) of honeycomb from the wall. He found the queen and is able to safely take the hive to a new home.”
The next video stated:
"Day 2: 20,000 bees were removed and hole temporarily sealed off."
"Roomed sealed off to avoid anyone getting stung, but we're seeing some stragglers come through."
"Beekeeper will be back tomorrow for remaining extraction."
Unfortunately, the next few updates revealed some disappointment for the family.
Although thousands of bees had already been removed, another hive with a different queen was found inhabiting the walls, as well.
Aside from the infestation itself, the TikToker is facing other challenges.
For starters, she shared that insurance is not covering any of the costs for either the extractions or the repairs because the damage "doesn't have anything to do with the house."
As of two days ago, bees are still being removed from the premises.
And the family is dealing with "honey everywhere."
We're so sorry they have to deal with all of this, but we are glad they caught it when they did.
