James Gunn released an official teaser trailer for "Superman," starring David Corenswet, and fans are clamoring for the Man of Steel's beloved pet dog, Krypto.

Comic book movie summer blockbusters: a perennial tradition.

Next summer, a new version of Superman will come to screen, and fans are already excited about the film for many reasons.

And a lot of them are pumped because Superman's lovable super canine companion Krypto will appear in the film.

Superman, having just crash landed on his side in the snow, whistles for Krypto and then hands him his cape to drag him home.

Folks were sold on Krypto.

He's just so cute!

Krypto was modeled after Gunn's own mischievous pup, as he shared on X (formerly Twitter):

“Krypto was inspired by our dog Ozu, who we adopted shortly after I started writing Superman. Ozu, who came from a hoarding situation in a backyard with 60 other dogs & never knew human beings, was problematic to say the least."
"He immediately came in & destroyed our home, our shoes, our furniture – he even ate my laptop. It took a long time before he would even let us touch him.”
“I remember thinking, ‘Gosh, how difficult would life be if Ozu had superpowers?’ – and thus Krypto came into the script & changed the shape of the story as Ozu was changing my life.”

Truly, a dog with an important job.

Really, it was lucky that Krypto was a dog and not a cat.

This begs for a Krypto Comics Universe.

Gunn knew he had some stiff competition with lovable sidekick characters.

The film also features other characters from the comics, such as Lex Luthor, Green Lantern, Hawkgirl, and Metamorpho.

It comes out July 11, 2025.

Erika Kirk Has Ultimate Freudian Slip While Honoring Student With 'Charlie Kirk Courage Award'

Erika Kirk was mocked online after she had an epic Freudian slip while honoring Utah Valley University student Caleb Chilcutt with the Charlie Kirk Courage Award at Turning Point USA's AmericaFest over the weekend and misspoke while comparing Chilcutt to her late husband, far-right activist Charlie Kirk.

The late Kirk, who was assassinated at UVU in September, was a virulent white supremacist who aligned with the Christian right and advocated for Christian nationalism, promoting a nativist, fundamentalist Christian view of society. All the while, he openly attacked LGBTQ+ rights, backed the white genocide conspiracy theory, and was a major figure in the MAGA movement.

To say that the rise of artificial intelligence, or AI for short, is a contentious issue would be a gross understatement.

In addition to the growing concern that AI will create job scarcity in almost every profession, recent studies have shown AI continues to leave a devastating carbon footprint. Its water usage alone surpassed the entirety of bottled water worldwide.
