A YouTube video is showing students at Dover High School in New Hampshire singing a Christmas jingle with KKK lyrics.

People are outraged about the lack of thought that went into assigning this as a project.

The class of 11th graders were assigned to create a catchy little ditty based on the Civil War Era. A few students sang about the creation of the KKK to the tune of "Jingle Bells," and the results were as horrible as one would imagine.

The lyrics of the chorus start with:

"KKK, KKK, let's kill all the blacks..."

Dover School District Superintendent William Harbron told NBC News that the assignment was given out for U.S. history class and the students came up with the lyrics:

"White masks on our heads, blood beneath our feet, laughing till they're dead -- ha, ha, ha"

The students did not know they were being recorded, the superintendent said.

Harbron went on to add:

"The principal became aware of the situation late Friday and began working with the teacher. Right now we're dealing with the immediate need of communication out [and with] the emotions surrounding the situation."

The district released a letter on Facebook:

The video of the performance can be seen in the video below.

U.K BOXING FANS DONT THINK RACISM IS REAL IN AMERICAwww.youtube.com

Ebony Magazine is reporting that the teacher who assigned the project, and did not stop the performance when it became clear the direction the offending song was taking, has been put on paid leave.

Once again people find themselves horrified by more racist behavior in 2018.

There needs to be some long discussions happening within American schools.

Blackburn is the frontrunner in the Republican primary for Tennessee governor; early voting is less than three weeks away and Blackburn has kept a very low profile. That was true even after she just spoken to the Greater Nashville Technology Council for an event members of different media outlets had been invited to attend.
