A TikTok video showed a student filming her Zoom session with her ethics class and verbally commenting about the "sexy" guest lecturer.
Embarrassingly, TikTok user @phoebeluci9 did not realize until after the fact her mic was left on.
The entire class on the conference call—as well as the distractedly handsome guest speaker—apparently heard her saying:
"This man is so sexy are you f'ng kidding me?"
"I'll listen to anything you say!"

In the clip, the guest lecturer appeared stumped after hearing the glorious review of his winsome looks.
The clip then cut to the student looking like she wanted to fade from existence after realizing everyone heard her involuntary gushing.
In text superimposed over the video, she said her laptop's mic was muted but the call's audio was "dialed in" through her iPad.
Users were amused by the "secondhand embarrassment" and went to town interpreting the lecturer's facial expression.

"I hope she figured out that she's on...but we are recording so uh let's go right ahead."

According to the Daily Dot, the video was viewed over 2.4 million times on the popular video platform and served as a reminder for people to mute their devices while on conference calls with a group of people.
She later posted a private update explaining that an email was sent to the entire class following the incident and reminding students to "keep the content among ourselves."
She also said the lecturer apparently saw her viral TikTok video online and jokingly responded to it with his own TikTok.
The student said:
"So I've actually entered my next karmic life stage, and I'm a dog. I've left the past behind me."
