Barbra Streisand is no fan of former President Donald Trump or his conspiracy theories about the 2020 presidential election.

Speaking to Variety, Streisand offered what she believes is the best way to counter Trump's lies that the election was stolen: By regularly broadcasting the margin by which Trump lost the election to President Joe Biden.

Streisand said:

"When you think of it, Al Gore lost the election by 537 votes. Hillary Clinton lost the election by 77,000 votes."
"But Trump lost the election by 7 million votes. I think they should show that every day on TV."

President Biden received more than 78 million votes across the country—the most votes cast for any presidential candidate in history. Biden won thanks to 81,139 votes in the key swing states of Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, and Wisconsin.

Streisand went on to criticize Trump further, likening his presidency to "four years in a black hole" and referring to his time in office as a "disaster" and "unforgivable."

Broadcasting Trump's most publicly embarrassing failure, Streisand continued, would go a long way to cementing the truth in the eyes of the American people:

"Four years of people dying unnecessarily because they didn't tell the truth."
"The truth is so important."
"Tell people the truth, they can deal with it."

Fans concurred with Streisand's assessment.

Streisand has spoken for years about the danger she believes Trump poses toward the United States and the future of the democratic order.

Speaking in 2018 ahead of the midterm elections, she urged her fellow citizens to rebuke a man she called "corrupt and indecent":

"This is a dangerous time in this nation, this republic: a man who is corrupt and indecent and is assaulting our institutions."
"It's really, really frightening."
"And I just pray that people who are compassionate and respect the truth will come out and vote."
"I'm saying more than just vote. Vote for Democrats!"

Streisand's statements to Variety come on the heels of Senate testimony from former acting Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen that revealed the extent of Justice Department efforts, headed by Jeffrey Clark, then the acting head of the Justice Department's civil division, to call into question the integrity of the election by throwing resources behind false voter fraud claims by Trump.

By contrast, Streisand has significant praise to offer President Biden, whom she views as Trump's polar opposite:

"I love Biden."
"I love his compassion, his honesty, his integrity, his love of facts, not fiction."
"He is a good-hearted soul, intelligent. Years in the Senate."
"I'm a big fan."

While Streisand believes the country is "heading in the right direction," it is evident that the nation still has a lot to tackle if it wants to put Trump's "Big Lie" to rest for good.
