Roger Stone, Donald Trump's old buddy who was sentenced to more than three years in prison for lying to authorities, obstructing a congressional investigation and witness intimidation, has a new conspiracy theory about the global health crisis gripping the world.

And it's a doozy.

Stone's latest whopper: that Microsoft CEO Bill Gates may have had a hand in creating the novel virus responsible for the current pandemic so that he could institute "mandatory vaccinations" and microchip people to determine whether or not they have been tested for the virus.

Donald Trump's longtime champion and former advisor was asked by The Answer's Joe Piscopo to weigh in about conspiracy theories surrounding the pandemic.

Stone shared what he heard about Gates's role in the "creation and spread of the virus."

"Whether Bill Gates played some role in the creation and spread of this virus is open for vigorous debate. I have conservative friends who say it's ridiculous and others say absolutely."

"He and other globalists are using it for mandatory vaccinations and microchipping people so we know if they've been tested."
"Over my dead body. Mandatory vaccinations? No way, Jose!"

Due to his track record, people discredited him immediately.

In the same interview, Stone gave his two cents on the presidential election by slamming presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden and calling him "an exceptionally weak candidate. The guy's just not all there."

And although a candidacy by Andrew Cuomo was unlikely, Stone did mention the New York Governor was doing "a very good job."

"He's enhanced his position with the public. He's a strong communicator, he speaks the people's language."

He added that in order for Cuomo to emerge, Biden "Would have to get hit by a bus."

"God forbid we're not for that."
"I think [a Cuomo nomination is] a fantasy by the Democrats who see Biden as an intrinsically weak candidate."

Of his own Florida lockdown, Stone – who is on supervised release – said:

"Like most Americans, we're hunkered down. It gives you time to spend with the family, time to write, and pray."
"It has its pluses, but every gym in Florida is closed, when I can't go to the gym, it drives me crazy."

Gates has criticized world leaders for their late response to news of the outbreak that originated in Wuhan, China, back in December and admonished governments for their inaction on tackling the pandemic.

The billionaire and his wife Melinda have donated over $45 billion through their foundation to fund vaccination research.

In response to the lack of preparation by governments, Gates commented:

"We find ourselves in uncharted territories."
