New York Republican Representative and chair of the House Republican Conference Elise Stefanik tweeted some words of wisdom on Sunday.

Stefanik became GOP House chair after Wyoming Republican Representative Liz Cheney was stripped of the title for criticizing former President Donald Trump.

Stefanik posted:

"Free Speech is American"

"Censorship is Communism."

It went over about as well as one might expect.

The tweet came as around the United States the Republican party is actively trying to censor free speech and ban books—Stefanik included.

A recent statement from Stefanik called Critical Race Theory "radical and racist" and condemned it being taught in schools—at grade levels where it has never been taught.

The New York Republican stated:

"It is absolutely inappropriate and unacceptable that New York is using COVID funds to force the radical and racist Critical Race Theory agenda on our children."

Another prime example of the GOP'S attempts at censorship is Florida's so-called "Don't Say Gay" law which prohibits any instruction about sexual orientation or gender identity in grades K-3 and greatly limits it for older children.

Twitter users pointed out the hypocrisy of Stefanik's assertion as the GOP has been behind most attempts at legislating censorship for the last several decades.

A few even used her own words against her, because there's always a tweet.

Others chose to highlight the right's tendency to—erroneously—call anything they either don't like or don't understand "Communism."

Hypocrisy doesn't pay when there is an easily obtainable record.

The internet is forever, after all.

Stefanik's account tweeted two sentence quips every two hours on Sunday.

The Republican Representative has yet to respond to her detractors on any of the tweets.

Man Who Nancy Mace Accused Of 'Harassing' Her In Ulta Store Speaks Out

South Carolina MAGA Republican Representative Nancy Mace—whose entire brand seems to be attacking people and then crying victim—is being exposed once again for embellishing reality to further her anti-LGBTQ+ agenda.

On April 19, Mace posted a video of her yelling obscenities at a constituent on her social media and later pinning it to the top of her feed. But like many who live in red districts, the man just wanted to know when Mace would hold a town hall to speak to voters.
