Pride Month and a resurgence of all things 90's have just collided to give us a gift, fam!

Warner Bros has their new Barbie movie slated for release in July 2023. The film, directed by Greta Gerwig, is expected to take the tropes of dollhood and perfection and mess with them a bit.

Margot Robbie, who is starring as Barbie, is known for her charm as well as incredible range. The same can be said for Ryan Gosling, who will be playing Ken.

Having such heavy-hitting actors in characters that most people think of as vapid, directed by a woman who adores critically examining social constructs, and backed up by a cast that includes Kate McKinnon and America Ferrara almost certainly guarantees that the film will be both funny and an uncomfortable gut punch.

But nobody cares about that right now because Ryan Goslings pecs are ridiculously rectangular and we need to talk about it.

Warner Bros. Pictures dropped a tweet showing Gosling, shirtless as usual, decked out like a 90's acid-washed denim delight. His wig is giving us major nostalgia.

The basic plot of the film is that Barbie is, for some reason, kicked out of doll land over an imperfection. She is then forced to try and make a life out here in the real world.

Undoubtedly there will be hijinks and plot twists in the candy-coated biting satire.

We don't know whether Ken will be along for the real-world ride or if he gets to stay in doll land. We do know that Twitter has done some intense quality control inspections on the above image and are happy to report they see no imperfections that might get him kicked out.

Twitter is happy to report a lot, actually...

People wondered about who Ken was modeled after - which means a nostalgic stroll down memory lane.

Knowing the cast and director, we have faith the movie will be entertaining.

Or maybe we're just here for plastic pecs.
