Swift got some high praise from Twain, a country-pop crossover success herself, who told 'Haute Living' how much respect she has for Swift's 'passion' and 'exhausting' lifestyle.

It's no secret that Shania Twain and Taylor Swift have a mutual respect and adoration for each other, but in a new interview with Haute Living, Twain sang her praises once again.

In 2008, at the Country Music Association Awards, Swift revealed that Twain—who remains the top-selling female country artist of all time—was "the reason [she] wanted to do this in the first place."

Swift blogged at the time:

“She walked up to me and said she wanted to meet me and tell me I was doing a great job."
“She was so beautiful, guys. She really is that beautiful."
"All the while, I was completely star struck.”

And just last year, Twain herself was able to experience an Eras Tour show which “really moved” her.

She told E! News:

“She’s a great storyteller. That comes across live.”

Twain's feelings about the "Lavender Haze" singer's talents certainly haven't wavered, and in her interview with Haute Living, she spoke of Swift's "exhausting" work ethic, as well.

“That girl is working her butt off."
“She is living an exhausting existence, but she’d dedicated and committed to herself, to her art, and her work."
"It isn’t even about ambition, though I’m sure that most people would call her ambitious.”

The "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" singer continued, remarking on Swift's passion.

“She’s an extremely hard worker, and I’m sure she’s got giant goals. But it’s not all about ambition: it’s about passion and committing yourself to your passion.”

People on social media completely agreed with Twain's analysis, with many noting she learned from the best.

Speaking on being a trailblazer in the country-pop crossover genre, paving the way for Swift as well as artists like Carrie Underwood and Kacey Musgraves, Twain shared:

“Yes, I see it as a great compliment when someone calls me a trailblazer, but it’s not like I set out to do so. I was just being myself, and I think that’s served me very well.”

Swift's 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department, was released on Friday.
