Shania Twain Sparks Backlash After Posing With Captive Hawk In Instagram Photo

The singer drew criticism from an Instagram photo shoot with The Sunday Times Style.

Shania Twain is back and is proving she's still the one, but a recent photoshoot for UK's The Times Sunday Style has sparked some backlash.

The "Waking up Dreaming" singer posted a photo from the shoot on Instagram earlier this week.

In the photo, Twain wore cheetah print (of course), some exotic tights and a little black number.

She was accompanied by "icon" Ruby—a hawk.

She captioned the post:

"Listen - I'm an icon, we all know that."

She added a laughing emoji.

"But the real icon from my shoot with @thestyle is obviously RUBY!"

However, according to many fans' comments, that don't impress them much.

Many commented on Twain's coat, but most were outraged she posed with a captive bird.
