Don't come for Selena Gomez on social media unless she sends for you.
The singer, actor and cosmetics mogul left her fans applauding after she shut down a TikTok troll who tried to criticize her for drinking too much following her kidney transplant.
Gomez wasn't having any of it. She clapped right back at the since-deleted comment, which really should have stayed in the user's drafts.

The troll, who goes by gooodbase on the app, wrote:
"so one of your best friends give you her kidney and you continue to drink excessively. Damn Selena."
To which Gomez replied:
"It was a joke ass."
The dust-up began when Gomez, who had her kidney transplant in 2017, posted a video to her TikTok page reacting with joking alarm at a doctor's definition of "heavy drinking."
See the video below.
@selenagomez #duet with @drdawnbantel it’s a joke
The video featured Gomez duetting with Dr Dawn Bantel as she read the CDC's drinking guidelines, which according to Bantel defines excessive alcohol consumption as "15 or more drinks a week for men, and eight or more drinks per week for women." As Bantel gave the figures, Gomez bit her nails and winced as if to self-incriminate herself as a heavy drinker.
People who have had kidney transplants are recommended to avoid heavy drinking, as large amounts of alcohol raise blood pressure, which can be dangerous for transplant recipients. Thankfully, Gomez stipulated in her TikTok caption that "it's a joke." But of course trolls gonna troll, so it seems gooodbase couldn't help themself.
Gomez's transplanted kidney came from her best friend Francia Raisa shortly after her diagnosis with lupus, an autoimmune disease that turns a patient's immune system against their own body, attacking their organs instead of infections.
In Gomez's case, the condition had heavily damaged her kidneys, an outcome that affects 60% of all lupus patients and an even higher proportion of Hispanic patients like Gomez.
On Twitter, Gomez's legion of fans were loving her clapback.

It only makes sense Gomez has little time for online strangers' criticisms, given she deleted social media apps from her phone back in 2017 and has credited the change with helping her heal following her lupus diagnosis.
Trolls beware.
