Enduring scrutiny of your appearance may come with the territory as a celebrity, but singer and actor Selena Gomez is not taking it quietly.

Gomez—who suffers from lupus which required her to get a kidney transplant in 2018 at age 25—has frequently endured body-shaming from trolls. The Only Murders In The Building actor took to social media to clap back at those who think her body isn't up to par.

Her response, posted in a TikTok video as seen below, is the perfect mic drop.

In the video, Gomez shed light on the internal scrutiny all to many stars likely face.

As she put it:

"So I be trying to stay skinny, but I went to Jack in the Box and I got four tacos, three egg rolls, onion rings and a spicy chicken sandwich."
"But honestly, I don't care about my weight because people bitch about it anyway: 'You're too small.' 'You're too big.' 'That doesn't fit.' 'Meh meh meh meh'."

Gomez went on to deliver a pointed message to her haters.

"Bitch, I am perfect the way I am. Moral of the story? Bye.”

And that about sums it up.

Gomez has frequently spoken out about the criticism she regularly receives about her weight, which fluctuates due to complications with lupus—the autoimmune disorder from which she suffers.

Gomez opened up about the disorder and how it impacts her body and weight during a 2019 interview on the video series “Giving Back Generation.”

Speaking to host Raquelle Stevens, Gomez said:

"I have lupus and deal with kidney issues and high blood pressure, so I deal with a lot of health issues..."
"It's a combination of all of it. It's the medication that I have to take for the rest of my life. It depends on even the month, to be honest.
"So, for me, I really noticed when people started attacking me for that. And in reality, that's just my truth. I fluctuate."

At one point, the body-shaming she received—including comments yelled at her in public places like airports, as she told US Weekly in 2015—became so bad it sent her to therapy.

But today, she's in a much better place and fans applauded her no-nonsense approach to the trolling.

Nice try, tolls, but Gomez isn't having it.

Trump was injured in an assassination attempt at a July 2024 campaign event by a gunman who was shot and killed by the Secret Service. The shooting ultimately claimed the life of one man and injured two others. The phrase “Fight! Fight! Fight!”—shouted by Trump in the immediate aftermath—has since become a rallying cry among his supporters.
