People Share Their Biggest 'Screw It, I'm Doing It' Moments

I'm all in!!

Sometimes we gotta just do what we gotta do. IN life throwing caution to the wind is the only true way to live. Often, it's just like Nike says... "JUST DO IT!" Many therapists will tell you this is one of the best ways to grow and fly.

Redditor /A-Classic-Blunder wanted to know about the moments when everyone decided it was time to do what was necessary by asking..... What was your biggest "Screw it I'm doing this moment?"

"Send"

Hitting "send" on an email I wrote my husband's mistress. thenletskeepdancing

She hesitated.

Wasn't sure if a girl I've been chasing for months was giving me signals.

She needed to do something in my city and wanted to stay the night. I said sure but didn't have more than one bed, so to avoid being creepy I offered to sleep on the couch.

She hesitated. I offered to both stay in the bed, and she nodded.

Cue two hours of lying nervously on my side trying not to come off as a predator while trying to make smalltalk.

Eventually I realized we had been cuddling for like an hour and had progressively been getting friendlier and touchier, and at this point I'm just trying to weigh the possibilities she's just unreasonably friendly vs. actually into me and doing this while trying to be a conversation partner is slowly melting my dumb brain.

I figure, I've been single long enough. I lifted her chin and kissed her, giving her plenty of time to recoil and pull away or stop me.

She didn't. We've only been together for a bit over 6 months but she makes me happy. My goal is to make her happy.FoolsintheThunder

Harry Forever...

Giphy

Skipping days during a work conference to go to Disney World and Universal. No way in hell was I getting a free pass to Florida and not going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

It was worth every second. SnyperPrincess

Sober and hydrated.....

Called my wife and told her I had a drinking problem.

Hard phone call to make I tell you what.

Of course she already knew, most did, but getting it out there verbally was hard. Real hard.

I'd also like to thank Topo Chico bubbly water for satisfying my "need to drink cold bubbly drinks" and "need to be holding a beverage" urges.

Sober and hydrated, 1.5 years. campoanywhere

20/20....

A few days ago I had the opportunity to get Lasik. I just had to call out of work. This upset my boss but forget it 4 days later and I'm already 20/20!!! rachel226

Best decision I ever made.

Giphy

Was going through some domestic violence BS and wasn't allowed to leave the home for months at a time. They tried to choke me to death, yelled at me a lot, etc. I can't remember all of it. My grandmother had died and I'm pretty sure it was the intent to kill me and get my part of the inheritance. The inheritance money finally came in after about six months of this treatment, and while the other person took his half and went on vacation, I took my half and bought a Greyhound ticket and got out of there. Best decision I ever made. TheEggRollCommandsIt

Bought a sailboat.

Bought a sailboat. Quit a decent paying job that I hated. Sail from New York to the Caribbean where I hung out for a year then sold the boat back in Florida and then spent the next five months hiking the Appalachian trail. Went back to work for a year and now I'm currently backpacking through South East Asia for the next 6 months. bigmommashome

Roommates Needed...

Asking my now wife if I could call her back the next night after she called looking for a roommate who had moved out. We had talked for a couple of hours that night. She said yes, I called her back the next night. We've been together now 17 years, and got married two months ago. FloydDangerBarberFloydDangerBarber

Going Solo....

Giphy

Deciding to go on a solo backpacking trip when i was 18 years old. i'm a worrier and not very good at handling stressful situations, and at the time i was also super introverted. that trip really helped me realize that i'm capable of a lot more than i think. SadLazyDope

PlentyOfFish......

A few years ago I met a guy on PlentyOfFish (yeah I know, make fun of me later lol) and we were talking for about a month before he asked me out on a little lunch date.

Went on the date, had a great time and afterwords he asked me if I wanted to go back to his place. Mind you, I was raised very conservatively and also to be essentially scared as hell of guys.

Against all of my better judgment, I agreed and we walked back to his place. We had a good time, watched a little bit of TV, and after a couple of hours he walked me back to the diner, I gave me a kiss on the cheek, and we parted ways.

We were just married on August 31st of this year :) VioletViolence93

Dem Rep. Blasts CNN Pundit For Griping About 'DEI' Firefighters Amid LA Wildfires

During a CNN appearance on Newsnight with Abby Phillip, Texas Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett laid into conservative pundit Scott Jennings for insinuating that diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives to diversify California fire departments are partially to blame for the Los Angeles wildfires.

Deadly wildfires in Los Angeles County remain largely uncontained, with officials reporting at least five confirmed fatalities so far. However, on Thursday, authorities admitted, “frankly, we don’t know” the true extent of the death toll. Evacuation orders are currently affecting nearly 180,000 residents, as thousands of homes and buildings have been destroyed.

Jesse Watters Admits The Real Reason He Supports Trump's Proposal To Annex Canada

Fox News personality Jesse Watters was criticized after exclaiming on The Five that the reason why he supports President-elect Donald Trump's proposal to annex Canada is precisely because Canadians don't want this to happen at all.

Watters' remarks are the latest development since Trump made headlines for jabbing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with remarks about Canadian statehood.

Dem Rep. Hilariously Trolls Trump For Fixation On Canada And Greenland Instead Of Lowering Costs

California Democratic Representative Eric Swalwell had social media users cackling after he trolled President-elect Donald Trump over his threats to take over Canada and Greenland rather than lowering grocery prices as he promised during the campaign.

Swalwell is the latest politician to respond to Trump over the matter since he made headlines for jabbing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with remarks about Canadian statehood and calling "the ownership and control of Greenland" an "absolute necessity."

People Recall The Most Out Of Touch Thing They've Heard Anyone Say

Getting everyone's point of view can be fascinating whenever you're with a group of people engaged in a discussion on a range of topics. However, the occasion can be eye-opening when someone unable to read the room makes a comment that can be interpreted as wildly inappropriate.

In an age where social norms are always challenging the way we engage in discourse, nothing is surprising... except for that one rare instance.
