Senator Bernie Sanders predicted almost exactly what President Trump would do on election night during an interview with Jimmy Fallon last month, and the video of the interview has gone viral while everyone waits on the results of the election.

Sanders also predicted the way the poll numbers would go during the count, pointing out that Democrats were more likely to vote absentee and be counted later as those ballots are processed.

"The first votes that will be counted will be those people who came in on Election Day, which will be Republican."

Sanders followed that with a prediction of what Trump would do on election night.

"It could well be that at 10 o'clock on election night, Trump is winning in Michigan, he's winning in Pennsylvania, he's winning in Wisconsin, and he gets on the television and he says, 'Thank you, Americans, for reelecting me. It's all over. Have a good day.'"

He then echoed a fear felt by many, that Trump would use late counts of absentee ballots as an excuse to refuse to leave office.

"But then, the next day, and the day following, all of those mail-in ballots start getting counted, and it turns out that Biden has won those states, at which point Trump says, 'See? I told you the whole thing was fraudulent. I told you those mail-in ballots were crooked. And we're not going to leave office.' So that is a worry that I and a lot of people have."

While the President waited a bit longer than 10pm to declare himself the winner, he did hold a press conference in the wee hours of Wednesday morning to declare his victory to the masses. Considering the fact that millions of absentee ballots had yet to be counted, this was rather premature move.

Included in his victory speech was an assertion that election officials might "find ... ballots at 4 o'clock in the morning," thus somehow changing the outcome of the election.

"We were getting ready to win this election. Frankly, we did win this election. We want all voting to stop. We don't want them to find any ballots at 4 o'clock in the morning and add them to the list. It's a very sad moment. We will win this, and as far as I'm concerned we already have won."

Many have shared Senator Sanders' prediction on social media since this morning, and Twitter users had a lot to say on the matter.

The true results of the election will take time to determine, as states are still in the process of counting their absentee ballots. All Americans can do now is wait and see.

Trump Dragged After Making Outrageous Comparison To Zohran Mamdani In Viral Clip

President Donald Trump was widely mocked after he asserted during a 60 Minutes interview with Norah O'Donnell that he's "much better-looking" than New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani—a claim that not a soul is taking seriously.

Trump isn't exactly known to be a looker but he has nonetheless declared himself a "perfect physical specimen" and boasted about his physical prowess, once noting that his own White House physician had declared him "healthier than Obama"—despite Trump's distaste for exercise and fondness for fast food.
