Ryan Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively have a strong history if trolling each other online. A recent Instagram announcement by Reynolds about taking a sabbatical from acting helped Lively continue the tradition.

Reynolds posted photos from the set of his upcoming film Spirited, in which he plays an Ebenezer Scrooge-like character, alongside a Ghost of Christmas Present played by Will Ferrell.

In the caption, he said:

"That's a wrap for me on Spirited. Not sure I'd have been ready to say yes to a film this challenging even three years ago."
"Singing, dancing and playing in the sandbox with Will Ferrell made a whole lotta dreams come true. And this is my second film with the great @octaviaspencer."
"Perfect time for a little sabbatical from movie making. I'm gonna miss every second working with this obscenely gifted group of creators and artists."
"These days, kindness matters as much as talent. I've been lucky to work with folks who are flush with both."

Lively immediately responded:

"Michael Caine did it first."

Commenters seemed to be pretty evenly split between those thinking Lively was referencing Caine's recent statement he would be taking a break from acting and those who thought she was referencing Caine's performance in The Muppet Christmas Carol.

But most seemed to agree on appreciation of Lively's trolling.

Several people asked if Reynolds taking a break meant Lively would be filming a new project.

A new project on the way from Lively is certainly a possible reason for Reynolds' decision to take a break.

Lively has stated before she and Reynolds make sure to stagger their shooting schedules so they can maintain precious family time, with the spouse that isn't currently filming often traveling to the other's shooting locations with the kids so they can be together.

Or, it could just be he's been incredibly busy for quite a while and genuinely needs a break.

Only time will tell.

White House Slammed After Replacing Obama Portrait With Painting Of Trump's Assassination Attempt

The White House is facing heavy criticism after it posted a video on X showing off a new painting of President Donald Trump's assassination attempt last summer—that is now hanging where an official portrait of former President Barack Obama was once displayed.

The portrait of Obama, unveiled in 2022 during former President Joe Biden’s administration, remains on display in the White House but has been relocated. Originally hung near the staircase to the presidential residence on the State Floor, it has been moved to the opposite wall—where a portrait of former President George W. Bush once hung.
